    Future of Collaboration in digital Journalism-Duncan Hoopper - MSNLumina is pleased to announce the placement of Duncan Hooper as Editor in Chief, Digital Platforms for French multiplatform news service Euronews. He joins from MSN, where he was a Managing Editor.

    Euronews is the most watched news channel in Europe, watched in 400 million homes across 13 languages. The service is available across all manner of delivery methods (websites, mobile apps, connected TVs, radio, YouTube, Google Glass), as well as on board airlines, cruise lines and in hotels. It will be Duncan’s responsibility to manage the editorial direction and content strategy for the service’s digital platforms.

    Duncan began his journalism career as an Economics Correspondent, and then EU Correspondent for Bloomberg before joining Euromoney as a Deputy Editor, Emerging Markets where he was responsible for the relaunch of their website and digital news service. He then joined the Telegraph as a News Editor, managing all aspects of the Telegraph’s online news coverage at a time where the newspaper was emerging as one of the country’s fastest growing media sites, and leading innovation in digital journalism. From here, he joined Microsoft and became Managing Editor for the News and Sport MSN channels, as well as the Bing News apps on Windows 8.

    As Editor in Chief for the organisations 100+ digital platforms, Duncan will be looking to continue to innovate in the delivery and packaging of digital news content, mixing traditional newsgathering experience with expertise in digital innovation in a newsroom environment achieved through editorial roles at some of the UK’s most high profile digital news outlets.

    Duncan has relocated to Lyon, France for the role.
